Toronto gives Mustangs the Blues

On a cool Sunday afternoon the Toronto Varsity Blues men’s soccer team did what very few teams have been able to do in the last two years — beat the Mustangs.

Canadians' fairy tale ends

PORTLAND, Ore. (CP) — With an upset victory within their grasp Canada was caught napping Sunday and gave up the tying goal, then watched in shock as Sweden roared back for a 2-1 victory in the semifinal of the FIFA women’s World Cup.


Dan Snyder : 1978-2003

ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta Thrashers forward Dan Snyder died Sunday night, six days after he was involved in a horrific car crash with teammate Dany Heatley.


Women's soccer team takes two

The hail must have given the Mustangs women's soccer team that extra push for Saturday's game against York because they exploded for three goals in the first 10 minutes of the game.
