The Word Spy

Get with the lingo! The Word Spy lets you in on the trendiest words like 'metrosexual' ("A dandyish narcissist in love with not only himself, but also his urban lifestyle"), 'chairobics' ("Aerobic exercises performed while sitting in a chair or wheelchair") or 'toy food' ("A food dish that comes premeasured and premixed and so requires only a minimal amount of preparation"). And these words are not just one-hit-word-wonders; all of them have appeared in multiple publications.

What's hella neat about Word Spy is that each word includes a sample citation from a publication in which the word is used and even traces the word to its originator and first usage. Pretty soon, you'll be impressing (or confusing people) when you speak of a new meal's 'chickenability,' mentioning that Ashton Kutcher is having an 'Elvis year' or bragging about how your driving skills are second to none because you've never hit any 'street furniture.'
