MEET THIS YEAR'S CROP OF A&E LACKEYS. Lori, Megan and Brian will bring you your daily Arts & Entertainment fix all year long... hurrah!

Every year, a new set of Arts & Entertainment editors trade spaces to redesign and revamp the most important section in the paper (at least that's what we think). We've dusted, mopped and polished some old favourites, as well as pulled out the carpet on some things that didn't work so well. The goal of this year is to keep content fresh, concise and informative to make you feel like the hippest culture know-it-all at Western. Tuesdays are a time for teasing and tasting. We'll publish a hot and titillating column on all things sex - arguably the most gratifying entertainment of all - and a scintillating look at all things related to the culinary (and of course, eating) world.

Wednesdays will see the exciting intersection of glamour and gaming through our very own Celebrity Dartboard, which allows us to mock spoiled celebs who deserve to be hated. Just cut out the dartboard, stick it on a wall and with your choice of projectile, aim and throw! We recommend collecting each week's dartboard and creating a massive one for even more fun times. On this day, we'll also print our pick for Web site of the Week, a unique, must-see page on the world wide web that might serve as a useful resource or might just provide some pure, no-brainer entertainment.

Thursdays see the return of the almighty Shukvision, Mark Polishuk's perspective on television from in front of the screen - a must for every couch potato. We'll also head out onto campus and uncover your perspectives and preferences on current A&E topics and every month, we'll cover hot trends in shopping and style to satisfy all those Western fashionistas.

Fridays begin with crib notes, a cheat sheet of our best bets for each day of the week to help you get a healthy daily dose of vitamins A and E. The end of the week is also giveaway day as we hook you up with the latest music in the ever-popular Free Music Friday contest (usually a tight race to The Gazette office, so get there early to secure a copy of a free CD). Then there are the essentials - the CHRW 94.7 Top 10 to keep you up-to-date on what's spinning in the nation's best campus station and movie listings to make picking a movie and time as convenient as possible (sorry, we can't help you find a date).

Finally, there's some exciting new web features that are on the way. We wonÕt divulge these secrets just yet, but be sure to surf onto, which is also a handy way to keep tabs on A&E when you're on the road, donÕt have access to a hard copy or are just allergic to newsprint.
