Coaching staff

By: Ian Denomme

Head coach Larry Haylor is joined by some new assistant coaches for the 2003 season. Chris Marcus is the new special teams coordinator and Paul Gleason takes over as defensive coordinator.

Haylor enters his 19th season as head coach of the Mustangs. His next victory will be the 154th of his career and will make him the winningest coach in CIS history. Last season Haylor tied former Waterloo and Laurier coach Dave Tuffy Knight.

Haylor attributed his success as coach to his longevity as well as many other factors.

"It's a great university with the best football. There's a passionate community and I've had great players and coaches. There's also a passionate commitment to the collective effort, which has made me successful," Haylor said.
