Women ballers bury Lancers by recovering blown lead

Looking to extend their home-winning streak to four games, the Western Mustangs women's basketball team came out like a runaway train in Wednesday night's battle against the Windsor Lancers.

No Grozelle, no problem.

Without the Western Mustangs' 50-point man, point guard Jimmy Grozelle, the men's basketball team still came out on top 67-64 over the Windsor Lancers in another exhilarating contest at Alumni Hall Wednesday night..

There's a reason why it is the most popular game on the planet.

Soccer is an exhilarating sport to watch. Although some people refer to it as a gentleman's sport played by hooligans (rugby being the hooligans sport played by gentlemen), it is far from that – at least, most of the time.

Alright, I'm not going to sugar coat this or beat around the goal posts – soccer is a boring game for simpletons.

Soccer, football, "futball" – whatever you call it – is definitely a game, and a game of skill at its highest level, but it's also a game that anyone can play.

This past weekend was a huge one for Western athletics, so choosing the Purple Pipe winner was not an easy task.
