Website of the Week

AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE. Users of WebCT can download course notes, discuss course topics and even find that special someone.

A&E’s final website of the week may already be familiar to most students, but is definitely a severely untapped resource! Course notes, assignments, links, discussion boards — WebCT has it all!

The site, hosted by Western, enables students to partake in a truly interactive online learning experience. For students simply too shy to speak up in class, WebCT offers a lovely alternative. Students can sit alone at their computer desks, string together a few sentences and — BAM — instant participation marks!

In addition, these interactive features allow students to express their inner student rage by lashing out at fellow classmates on the discussion board. The greatest part about the board is that you can skip posts written by that annoying kid in class who always talks.

But the site’s standout feature is in providing students the chance to delve into the wonderfully weird world of online dating. Inspired by the thoughts of student number 250103476? Do his or her thoughts get you all hot?

WebCT: where it’s not your looks that count — it’s your MIND.
