Britney & Courtney

Sweetnam and Spears:
more lesbo action?

OK, fine, maybe not in so many words. However, there’s definitely a possibility of another Xtina/Madge/Britney debacle, as Spears has invited 15-year-old pop-jailbait-princess Skye Sweetnam to open for her on her upcoming tour (in addition to Kelis and her milkshake). The tour, which kicks off Mar. 2 in San Diego, will hit Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Saturday, Apr. 3. Spears, Sweetnam and Kelis will roll through 25 other cities on the North American tour.

Round two of the Cobain
family journals

Courtney Love was obviously satisfied with her creepily invasive decision to publish her late husband’s journals. After all, the mass-market version of Kurt Cobain’s innermost thoughts and emotions rocketed to the top of the best seller list, with tons of grungers rushing to pick up a record of their suicide idol’s private diaries. In any case, Love is getting ready for round two: this time, however, it is her own diary that will be published for all to read. The drugged-out grunge-rock princess will tell all in Love Diaries: My Life In Words And Pictures, scheduled for a fall 2004 release. The book will consist of diary entries, unpublished lyrics, Cobain family pics and private correspondences between Kurt and Courtney. Funny how close this publication comes on the heels of Courtney’s drug scandal, isn’t it? On a completely unrelated (haha) note, Courtney’s first solo album, America’s Sweetheart, is set to hit stores this spring.
