Education gets financial boost from government

Both the federal and provincial governments pledged big dollars to post-secondary education last week.

Last Monday, the federal Conservative government proposed a budget they said included $39 billion to redress the fiscal imbalance between the provinces. (read more)

Task Force reports on Muslim student rights

Last week, a division of the Canadian Federation of Students released a report on human rights that is the first of its kind in North America.

The report was drafted by the Task Force on the Needs of Muslim Students at Ontario colleges and universities. (read more)
