For the third time in just five months, a sexual assault has been reported in a York University residence.

Number of criminal charges is down, but common assaults are up

A proactive approach to fighting crime is being cited as the main reason incidents of crime saw a drop in 2007, according to recently released statistics.

After seeing a record year of criminal charges laid in 2006, crime rates in London dropped last year by a total of nine per cent: 33,347 to 30,674. (read more)

USC removes 'unequal' SAQD display

When science councillor and campus safety commissioner Melanie Tinney saw the display board on Canadian Blood Services’ MSM policy issue, she thought that it was fairly unbiased.

She asked the student activist group, Standing Against Queer Discrimination, to create a board to display for Health and Safety week. (read more)
