This weekend, UWOpera will be making fun of itself.

Running Friday through Sunday at Althouse College, the Faculty of Music’s opera workshop will be performing Too Many Sopranos, a contemporary opera that pokes fun at the traditional stereotypes of opera singers. (read more)

Some celebrities endorse fashion lines and perfumes. Some, on the other hand, endorse entire life philosophies.

Across the fame spectrum, A-list actresses like Gwyneth Paltrow to performers like Saturday Night Live alumna Amy Poehler and The Office’s Rainn Wilson are among the first wave of celebrities to create websites aimed at the greater issues in life, such as spirituality, feminism and philosophy.
