Not the Wind, Not the Flag

It’s never too early to start thinking about the London Ontario Live Arts festival, which was held last September for the third time. This year, the LOLA festival is supplemented with a spring concert series that kicks off tonight at Museum London with three new-age jazz ensembles: Muskox, Canaille and Not the Wind, Not the Flag. This Sunday, London’s growing music community will come together to celebrate the Jack Richardson Music Awards at The London Music Hall.

The awards will be handed out to local musicians in over 20 diverse categories, including classical, country, folk and punk. (read more)

Friday afternoon at Western’s John Labatt Visual Arts Centre, a group of visual art students came together at a conference entitled “I Don’t Care To Discuss It... Art, Media & the State in a Globalized Economy” to, coincidentally, discuss art, media and the state. (read more)
