The Miss G_Project, a Western student-founded campaign to add a women and gender studies course to the Canadian secondary school curriculum, was recently rejuvenated after the provincial government gave it a $70,000 funding grant and established a council to review the addition of the course. Premier announces $23-million grant for UWO research

Premier Dalton McGuinty at Robarts Research Institute

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty visited Western last Thursday to announce a $23-million grant for biomedical research at Western.

The grant comes in anticipation of Western’s merger with Robarts Research Institute, Canada’s only independent medical research facility, where hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students work and learn. (read more)
