California " Two biology professors at the University of California, Berkeley have started a website that aims to dispel misconceptions about scientists.

Called “Understanding Science,” the site addresses many of the myths of science, while at the same time providing tools to help users in creating their own scientific tests and tips to separate science from spin in the media and public policies. (read more)

Keep those smokes tucked away for a pit stop
Ontarians can no longer light up with children in the car thanks to a new law effective Jan. 21, 2009.

“By ensuring the protection of Ontario’s children from second-hand smoke in vehicles today, we are helping them to continue to live healthy lives in the future,” Ontario Medical Association President Ken Arnold explained. (read more)
