George Smitherman, Ontario’s Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, was in London yesterday talking about the provincial government’s new bill, which aims to transform Ontario’s energy focus regarding consumption, pricing and business. (read more)

Simon Fraser U. considers privatizing residences

Burnaby, B.C. " Simon Fraser University has begun soliciting expressions of interest to determine whether residences on its campus should be sold to private companies.

The university has considered selling its 1,800 beds because of the growing cost of maintaining and repairing existing residences. (read more)

Davenport given more parting gifts
Western has initiated a fundraising campaign in order to finance the Talbot Theatre renovation project.

The school will be undertaking a full renovation of Talbot Theatre and renaming it Paul Davenport Theatre in honour of the outgoing university president, explained Carole Stinson, campaign director for the fundraiser. (read more)
