On Sunday, the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians will commemorate the tremendous sacrifice of our fallen soldiers who died for Canada and Canadians on Remembrance Day.

We proudly wear poppies, observe two minutes of silence, and attend commemorative ceremonies, but most importantly we take pause to remember the men and women who served on our behalf. (read more)

Using a clicker in class

In a recent edition of the Western News, the paper once again ran a story emphasizing the pedagogical benefits of classroom clickers.

In the final sentence of the story, the professor interviewed provided the following rationale for why he likes using the devices in his teaching:

“I’m not a good enough lecturer to just talk for 50 minutes,” he said. (read more)
