After years of ignoring the budget for mental health services, Western is still facing a crisis in the availability of counselling, with students in need being turned away.

While the university makes every effort to help students in crisis, those with chronic and long-term mental health problems are being pushed to the back of the line and are thus unable to get the help they need. (read more)

My cousin Nadav was shot two weeks ago in the terrorist attack at the Marcaz Harav Jewish seminary in Jerusalem.

It was a school he had worked hard to gain acceptance to. (read more)

Last Wednesday, Western held two events regarding the political situation in the region of Palestine and Israel. The next day, like every day, I picked up a copy of The Gazette before heading to my classes. (read more)

Gazette shows peace movements not a priority

I attended the peaceful human chain protest organized by students standing up for humanitarian causes in Gaza, and was very humbled by the turnout, as it proved Western students care about the situation in the Middle East. (read more)
