Jumping into the sand

The Mustangs track and field teams left their competitors in the dust last weekend at the 24th annual Don Wright Team Challenge.

Both the men’s and women’s athletes posted massive point totals to run away with the overall team titles and beat out Detroit-Mercy, Oakland University and the University of Waterloo. (read more)

Hats off to the Bengals for putting the “sin” back in Cincinnati. Rookie cornerback Johnathan Joseph was arrested this week for possession of marijuana, making him the ninth Bengal arrested in nine months. (read more)

Every week, the Purple Pipe is awarded to a Mustangs athlete or a group of athletes who has put forth an outstanding performance. This week, the nod goes to the men’s hockey line of Craig Kennedy, Steve Benedetti and Ryan Hare, who combined for 14 points in two games versus rival Lakehead this weekend. (read more)
