With the excitement of a possible playoff berth looming, the Western Mustangs women’s hockey team kept cool under pressure in a 3-1 victory over the Windsor Lancers Sunday at Thompson Arena.

The Mustangs (8-9-1-1) thrived in another winning weekend, moving into fifth place in the Ontario University Athletics standings with five regular season games left. (read more)

It was a weekend of highs and lows for the Western Mustangs, as some teams lost to rivals while others made quick work of their opponents.

Ruggers stay warm at annual Snow Sevens tournament

Winter is tough for any athlete if there’s no sports to be played, but Western’s men’s rugby team stayed in the swing of things Saturday with its Snow Sevens tournament.

The annual tournament, in which team members recruit friends for a day of pickup rugby in the snow, is an opportunity for team bonding during the offseason. (read more)
