Western’s men’s lacrosse team has consistently been shut out of varsity status. However, head coach Jeremy Tallevi is more concerned about team inconsistency on the field.

Purple Pipe: Nick Kordic

Every week, The Gazette awards the Purple Pipe to an athlete at Western whose individual performance is above and beyond the call of duty.

This week’s recipient of the Pipe is Western football defensive back Nick Kordic, who registered two second half interceptions and a touchdown in last week’s 44-1 victory versus Toronto. (read more)

London is playoff central this weekend, with several Mustangs teams looking to defend championships and make the postseason.

Western’s fastball team (20-2) looks to win its second championship in as many years in the Ontario finals this weekend at London’s Stronach Park. (read more)
