Strong defensive play leads to victory over Golden Gaels

Western women's basketball

After winning the tip-off at Friday night’s basketball game, Western’s women quickly took control of the game with a 10-0 lead against the Queen’s Golden Gaels.

Western pulled off a 60-49 win, with star guard Amanda Anderson scoring 20 points. (read more)

Strickland, Brownell CUFLA all-Canadians

After finishing the regular season with a 4-5 record, Western’s men’s lacrosse team couldn’t advance past the first round of the playoffs, losing to Bishop’s University.

Despite finishing 4-6, the Mustangs’ achievements on the field did not go unnoticed, as they were ranked number three nationally by the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association. (read more)
