The NHL has lost its brightest young star for at least the next month. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby will be out 6-8 weeks with a high ankle sprain, an injury he suffered in last Friday’s tilt versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. (read more)

With school flying by in top gear, many Western athletes were back in the thick and thin of their respective seasons last week.

The men’s and women’s track teams took part in the 25th annual Don Wright Track Challenge at Thompson Recreation and Athletic Centre last Friday. (read more)
