Last Thursday night, the Western Mustangs began their Ontario University Athletics playoff run with a bang.

Backed by a sensational postseason debut by rookie goaltender Keyvan Hunt, the men’s hockey team easily dismantled the York Lions 5-1 in game one of the best-of-three series at Thompson Arena. (read more)

Jason Milliquet had a standout performance for the Western men’s basketball team, netting seven three-pointers in a playoff match-up that saw the Mustangs defeat the McMaster Marauders 99-87.

The win leaves the Mustangs with a 12-9 record, eager to take on their next (undetermined) opponent in a home game set for Feb. (read more)
