Since it’s impossible to walk in another woman’s shoes, a girl simply has to have her own pair of this season’s hottest boots. This winter there is a wide selection to choose from.

Geox

THE RIDING BOOT
No longer just for jockeys, riding boots add a polished sporty look to just about any outfit. Riding boots lend even the most inactive of girls an athletic vibe with a feminine touch. The founder of shoe company Geox, Mario Moretti Polegato, knew he was on to something when he created the rubber sole, a durable feature that still allows the foot to breathe. Trendy and well worth their price, a Geox purchase is a lifetime acquisition. Choose from a selection of these boots in distressed and fine leathers, and ride away.

Uggs

THE UGGLIEST OF THEM ALL
Haters will call them the “UGGliest boots around,” but they’ve obviously never worn a pair. Worn by at least half of Western’s female population, UGGs were originally fashioned by the UGG Australia Company, a brand of luxury and comfort. Made from sheepskin and lush memory foam, once you put them on, you likely won’t find an excuse good enough to take them off. Australian native Brian Smith arrived in the United States in 1978 with just a bag of sheepskin boots. After taking refuge among California’s surfers, Smith launched the premium brand. With a little help from talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, UGGs went from being one of Oprah’s Favourite Things, to the favourite of millions of people.

THE KNIT BOOT
Once you put on these slouchy knit boots, you’ll want to “Liv” in them forever. Two years after they made their grand fashion debut on the feet of trendsetter Sienna Miller, Livs boots continue to fly off the shelves. The all-too-cozy knit boots are fashion appropriate from spring to winter, and come with a matching pouch for machine washing. Go for the higher cut styles, like Livs Classic Tall Boots in black, for greater folding and slouching possibilities.

Frye

THE BOOTS FOR HELL’S ANGELS
You don’t have to have to own a Harley to wear motorcycle boots. Heavy, black and buckled, motorcycle boots are statement boots " they’re not for the faint of fashion hearts. Frye boots have a long history in fashion. Founded by John A. Frye in 1863, the Frye Company’s boots were once worn by soldiers of the American Civil War. Today they are worn by those with an eye for rugged quality. For a chic Hell’s Angels look that’s sure to turn heads, try Frye’s Harness Motorcycle boots in black. Adored by bikers and Vogue fashion editors alike, Frye boots are destined to be in style for at least another century.

Tory Burch

THE CLASSIC BLACK BOOTS
Like every girl needs a little black dress, she also needs classic black boots. Worn day or night, black boots are always in style. Yet they shouldn’t be overlooked for their simplicity. While her Reva ballerina flats were the shoes of the summer, Tory Burch is also the mastermind behind this winter’s must-have classic black boots. Her knee-high boots are made of smooth, high-quality leather, and boast a rubber strip accent " Burch’s trademark gold emblem. Take a daring approach this winter and pair that classic little black dress with those classic black boots.
