Profit from environmentalism " just like Al Gore
TD Canada Trust is offering tomorrow’s environmental leaders a reward of $100,000 for their ideas about sustainability.

In TD Canada Trust’s Go Green Challenge, students from 28 universities across Canada are welcome to compete for a piece of the prize.

“The idea is to engage university and college students in thinking about the sustainability of their communities,” Matt Fortier, manager of government and community relations for TD, said.

The four teams with the best proposal will be awarded $25,000. Half the money will be divided between the teammates and the other half will be donated to the sponsoring faculty.

According to Ashta Cormier, coordinator of TD’s Go Green Challenge at UTours, the competition is making its way across the country " so all the crunchy granola types here at Western better get moving.

Submission must be in by Jan. 25, 2008 to tdaward@td.com. For more information: www.tdcanadatrust.com/gogreen/
