The running of the drunks
Get ready! London will soon be crawling with liquor-filled university students on a mission.

On March 29 the streets of London, along with three other Canadian cities, will be infested with pub-crawlers attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest pubcrawl in history.

The current world record belongs to the chaps across the pond that flooded the streets of London, England in October 2006 with 2,278 crawlers.

With Ottawa, Halifax and St. John’s also on board, many people, including event founder Jonathan Deyoung think its time for Canucks to claim the title.

“I expect a full sellout everywhere by the end of ticket sales on March 18,” Deyoung said. “If all our tickets sell, we would have 13,000 people and even if we were to get half that we still blow them out of the water.”

Tickets are available until March 18 at www.worldslargestpubcrawl.com.
