Go ape " join Western’s new pre-vet club
Are animals your future?

Three Western students, Brittany Stymiest, Michelle Myszko and Jess Smallwood, have launched a new undergraduate club for students interested in veterinary medicine and technology and animal welfare.

The club aims to provide students with a resource for exploring Canadian and international veterinary school opportunities and to assist with the intense application process.

The club will also offer volunteer opportunities, guest lectures from local vets and field trips to places like The Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph.

“There are lots of schools out there,” Smallwood said. “Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it.

“Whether your style is dog or cat, bird or snake, Western’s pre-vet club will have an animal style for the prospective veterinary student.”

Memberships are $5. For more information, e-mail
