To the editor:
I can understand how a resident of London could become frustrated from living in such close proximity to students. Our lifestyles don’t match up, and this will always create friction.

I think if we as students want to gain more respect from London residents, we can’t walk through nice neighbourhoods on the way home from the bars and act rowdy.

That being said, I live within sight of campus and I think it’s ridiculous for a resident living in such an area to expect peace and serenity.

If I didn’t want to be woken up at night by university students, I wouldn’t pick a house that was 100 metres from the biggest party school in Ontario.

I was confronted by an old lady at 4:30 p.m. on Homecoming. She threatened to phone the police because we were drinking on the lawn. Was she crazy? Yes " she probably owns cats.
