Re: “Don’t only go halfway to green”

To the editor:
While I commend Mr. Fielding on his investigation of the presidential candidate’s platforms, I feel I must defend them regarding the environmental policies of their respective platforms.

The University Students’ Council President only has jurisdiction over USC operations and not the entire university. This, sadly, is primarily limited to the confines of the University Community Centre. While the candidates can lobby the university to make environmental changes, it would be irresponsible of them to commit to making changes that are not theirs to make. Having said that, perhaps a commitment to lobbying in this issue is in order.
