To the editor:
I’m so thrilled that you are beginning to show a commitment to coverage of the flooding of the Thames River. The photo and helpful caption in the March 11 edition of The Gazette were really great.

So rarely does the Thames ever flood " especially in the spring of all seasons " and even more seldom does a picture of it appear in your newspaper. The difference between a publication like STUDENT and your fine periodical is that yours really does publish articles about important current issues. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I wonder is, “How’s old Themmy doing?” Then I pass it on my way to school, spend at least five minutes gazing at it and make my way to campus where I pick up a copy of The Gazette in the hopes that there will be a photo of it I can stare at for the rest of the day.

Anyway, I’m just happy that a serious news outlet like yours is devoted to current coverage of such important campus issues as the majestic, breathtakingly pristine waters of the Thames River whose determination, commitment to campus life and student issues, active role in student politics ...

Wait. It’s a river. The first photo of the Thames this year was sort of interesting; the second photo was uninteresting but excusable. But seriously " every fucking time it floods?
