Baseball camp in London

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s Super Camp!

With the baseball season well under way, Baseball Super Camp opens this Saturday in London. The camp is designed to give players a set of rules to help them develop sound mechanics and approaches to their game.

The goal is to help improve the level of play in baseball but to also increase the level of thinking towards the game.

World Baseball Classic and AAA baseball star Adam Stern will be in attendance along with AA Chicago Cubs catcher prospect Chris Robinson.

Stern was drafted in the third round of the MLB draft in 2001 by the Atlanta Braves and most recently played as an outfielder for the Baltimore Orioles.

Robinson is equally experienced, having been drafted third round in the 2006 draft by the Detroit Tigers.

Also helping at the camp is Mustangs baseball coach Mike Lumley. Lumley was drafted by the Tigers in the fifth round of the 1988 draft and is a three-time Ontario University Athletics coach of the year.

The camp will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at L.D.B.A Park in London.

To participate there is a $75 fee.
