With the holiday season just around the corner, only a few Mustangs teams will be in action this coming weekend.

The men and women’s basketball teams will be in Toronto this weekend to take on the University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday and Ryerson Rams on Saturday.

The men’s team welcomes the addition of recruits Colin Laforme and Keenan Jeppessen, who are now eligible to play for the remainder of the season. The team currently is 2-4 on the season and looks to get back to the .500 mark.

The women’s team will once again look for strong performances from veterans Amanda Anderson and Bess Lennox to bring the team to an 8-2 record.

On the home front, both the men and women’s hockey teams will be taking to the ice at Thompson Arena.

After winning both at home and on the road last week, the men’s team is currently ranked sixth place in Canadian Interuniversity Sport standings. Forward Kevin Richardson is currently on fire, riding a five-game goal scoring streak.

The men’s team will be on the road versus the Ontario Institute of Technology on Friday before coming home to take on the York Lions on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The women’s team hopes to break its current four-game losing streak with a pair of home games this weekend. The team takes on the Queen’s Golden Gaels at 4 p.m. on Saturday and UOIT on Sunday.
