Who Can Volunteer?
Are you an accounting, business or finance student?
Are you planning to be a CA, CGA or CMA?
OR Are you interested in learning new skills?
Then Volunteer with USC’s annual Income Tax Clinic!!!
Though knowledge in tax is not required, interest in learning is must.
Students who have taken or are currently enrolled in tax courses (MOS 3362 or MOS 4462) or have previous tax experience are encouraged to get involved.
Students with no prior experience or no knowledge of tax will be paired with an experienced volunteer, to gain exposure to the income tax process.
Any UWO student can volunteer!!

Volunteer Positions
ITC Volunteer:
- Volunteers will prepare and file income tax for fellow UWO students
- Must attend two mandatory training sessions

- Must be available for one volunteer shift between March 12 – 16 and two volunteer shifts March 19 – 23

ITC Day Coordinator:
- Responsible for coordinating activities of the tax clinic
- Manage student walk-ins and appointments traffic
- Must have prior experience with Income Tax Clinic
- Must attend two mandatory training sessions

- Must be available for one volunteer shift between March 12 – 16 and two volunteer shits March 19 – 23

ITC E-Filer (for main campus students only):
- Responsible for submitting tax returns electronically via secured online process
- Must have prior experience in filing tax return or with Income Tax Clinic
- Must attend two mandatory training sessions

- Must be available for one volunteer shift between March 12 – 16 and two volunteer shifts March 19 – 23

Volunteer Training Schedule (Mandatory)
Session 1: At this training session volunteers will learn the basic information on legality and income tax preparation. CRA officials will conduct the training
Sunday, March 4th: 9am–4pm @ TBA (Tentative)
Session 2: At this training session volunteers will be given specific examples to practice and will learn how to use the software to file income tax
Sunday March 11th: 9am–4pm @ TBA (Tentative)

Deadline to Apply
Volunteer applications are open February 1st. The deadline to apply to all positions February 24, 2012. Selected candidates will be contacted by email by February 29th.
