About Theatre Western
A Student-Run Production Company
Theatre Western is a student-run production company supported by the University Students' Council at the University of Western Ontario. Theatre Western produces shows of the highest professional quality, including full length musical and non-musical dramatic productions, as well as student-written one-act plays.A Creative Outlet for Passionate Students
The selection of theatre-related courses at Western is somewhat limited, and Theatre Western fills this gap by providing a creative outlet for passionate students. Theatre Western has produced many successful plays, including The Laramie Project, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Angels In America: Part One, Sweeney Todd and Cabaret. Over the years, Theatre Western's productions have proven to be both entertaining and thought provoking.
